Oxford Saïd Climate Change
Challenge 2025 — Silver Award
Code for Climate — Building Apps, Building a Better Future
I was awarded the Silver Award (Runner-Up) at the Oxford Saïd Know+ China Region Climate Change Challenge 2025 in the Teacher's category — recognised by a global panel of expert judges for creating one of the best lesson plans in the world to teach and inspire the next generation around the climate crisis.
My entry, "Code for Climate", combined computer science and sustainability education, where students build real apps addressing climate challenges — publishing them on app stores for global impact. I presented this vision to an audience of educators, sustainability leaders, and Oxford faculty.
This achievement reflects my commitment to cross-curricular, real-world project-based learning — where technology becomes a tool for solving humanity's biggest challenges.
I sit at the crossroads of computer science, design technology, and strategic AI adoption. From Singapore and Japan to Shanghai and Xiamen, I've designed programs that prepare students and teachers for a world shaped by intelligent technology.
My career spans AAA game studios (Codemasters, SkySouls), university lecture halls (Shanghai University), and K-12 schools delivering IGCSE, A Level, and IB curricula.
I've built complete K-12 programs for teaching coding, technology, and robotics — from primary maker sessions through competitive VEX Robotics and A Level CS. All grounded in Project-Based Learning.
Today, as Co-Head of the AI Committee at SUIS, I architect institution-wide AI strategy, run teacher PD, and coach VEX Robotics teams. I serve on the REC Foundation Coach Advisory Board.
"I build future-ready schools. My mission is to integrate AI, robotics, and real-world problem solving into mainstream education."

Architecting AI-First
Education Ecosystems

As Co-Head of the AI Committee at SUIS, I lead strategy, policy, training, and innovation — transforming how an entire education group engages with AI.
From the whole-school AI policy and AI pilot program to PD and founding the Xiehe AI Cup, my work ensures strategic, ethical, impactful AI adoption.
I addressed the entire Xiehe group on AI and the future of teaching — a roadmap for the age of intelligent technology.
Whole-School AI Policy
Comprehensive policy: ethics, privacy, academic integrity, phased adoption.
AI Pilot Program
Phased pilot integrating generative AI into curriculum and assessment.
Teacher PD on AI
Ongoing sessions on AI tools, ethics, classroom integration, workflow optimisation.
Xiehe Group Keynote
Addressed the entire education group on AI and the future of teaching.
Xiehe AI Cup
Founded first inter-school AI competition. Designed challenges, served as judge.
REC Advisory Board
Contributing to global robotics strategy on the REC Foundation Coach Advisory Board.
Panelist — Challenges & Opportunities in Post-2025 Era
Xiehe Education — Spring Teachers' PD Day
Invited as a panelist at the Xiehe Education Spring Teachers' Professional Development Day, speaking on "Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-2025 Era" alongside school leaders, journalists, and industry experts to a packed auditorium of educators.
The panel explored how AI, technology, and innovation are reshaping education — and how teachers and institutions can adapt to stay ahead. As the Computer Science Teacher and Robotics Coach representative from SUIS Qingpu Campus, I shared perspectives on integrating AI tools, preparing students for an AI-driven workforce, and the evolving role of the educator.
Real-World Problem Solving
VEX Robotics — Team RAXCHS
Team RAXCHS — VEX V5 High Stakes
I coach Team RAXCHS (92269A) from SUIS Qingpu. In 2024–25 (High Stakes), the team earned Tournament 3rd Place at VEX Asia Open.
Also competed at WRCT 2024 in Shanghai. Video interview with Maxine Lu (Xiehe Group) about our VEX program coming soon.
Biodome with Automation — EPQ
Solar-Powered IoT Biodome
Cross-curricular EPQ — students built a fully automated biodome with solar power, IoT sensors, microcontrollers, and automated irrigation.
Showcased at Shanghai Maker Faire, science fairs, and inter-school events. Students were interviewed on camera by media.
International Robotics Judging
Judging at the World Stage
International robotics judge at RobotChallenge World 2023 & 2024. Officiating Micro Sumo, Mini Sumo, and autonomous categories.
Appointed across Beijing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Bangkok, and Dubai.
